What happens after you submit

Three steps, no surprises.

  1. We call your insurance carrier.

Our admissions team contacts your plan directly to pull your specific benefits — usually within a few business hours.

  2. We walk you through the results.

A member of our admissions team calls you to explain what's covered, what your out-of-pocket would look like, and what levels of care your plan supports.

  3. You decide what's next.

No pressure, no commitment. If treatment is the right fit, we coordinate next steps. If not, you keep the information.

Direct answer

Does insurance cover rehab at Anchored Tides Recovery?

Yes. Anchored Tides Recovery is in-network with most major HMO, EPO, and PPO plans.

We’re in-network with Blue Shield of California, Blue Cross Blue Shield, Anthem, Highmark, Regence, Premera, Horizon, and Tricare. We also accept most PPO plans from Cigna, Aetna, UnitedHealthcare, UMR, GEHA, Optum, NYSHIP, Healthscope, and Meritain.

Coverage typically applies to Partial Hospitalization (PHP), Intensive Outpatient (IOP), and Outpatient (OP) levels of care — for both women’s addiction treatment and mental health treatment.

Why in-network matters

The path few women’s programs take.

Most women’s treatment programs in Southern California are out-of-network with HMO and EPO plans — which means large up-front payments or auth battles before treatment can begin. We chose differently.

  • Blue Shield of California (HMO/EPO/PPO)
  • Blue Cross Blue Shield (multiple states)
  • Anthem · Anthem Pathways · Vivity
  • Highmark · Regence · Premera
  • Horizon · ComPsych
  • Tricare · TriWest Healthcare Alliance

Most PPOs from Cigna, Aetna, UMR, GEHA, UnitedHealthcare, NYSHIP, Optum, Healthscope, and Meritain are also accepted.

What a VOB tells you

Specific, plan-level detail you can’t easily get yourself.

A Verification of Benefits is a confidential call our admissions team makes to your insurance carrier on your behalf. It returns:

  • 03

    In-network vs. out-of-network coinsurance

The percentage you pay alongside what the plan covers.

  • 04

    Remaining deductible & out-of-pocket maximum

What you've already paid toward your annual maximums.

A VOB is not a claim. It doesn’t deduct from your benefits, doesn’t appear on your record as treatment, and doesn’t affect your premiums or eligibility.
