A counselor comforting a woman in individual therapy at Anchored Tides Recovery
Anchored tides saved my life. I had been to an inpantient facility before and my sobriety wasn't lasting, until I found this place. I enjoyed the different groups and the staff and women are so welcoming. I felt so comfortable here, which I hadn't felt before. I now have the confidence to succeed in life. Very thankful for this place.

Is this program right for you?

Women this program is designed for

Anchored Tides accepts women 18 and older. A substance use disorder is not required — women who present with a primary mental health diagnosis are appropriate for admission.

  • Women with depression — ranging from persistent low mood to major depressive episodes — who haven't responded to outpatient medication management alone.
  • Women with anxiety disorders: generalized anxiety, social anxiety, panic disorder, or anxiety that has shaped work, relationships, and daily function in lasting ways.
  • Women with PTSD or complex trauma histories who need more than weekly therapy — where the body's responses haven't settled years after the original events.
  • Women with bipolar disorder, borderline personality disorder, or other complex diagnoses who have struggled to find a treatment setting that holds the full picture.
  • Women whose mental health condition co-occurs with substance use — and who need both treated simultaneously, in one program, by one team.
  • Women who have been in and out of weekly therapy without sustainable progress, and need the structure of a higher level of care to build real traction.

OPLong horizon

Ongoing individual and group therapy at a maintenance frequency — for women who have completed PHP or IOP and want continuity with the same clinical team.

Why Anchored Tides

What makes this program different

Women's mental health requires a different clinical frame

Hormonal cycles, relational trauma, the compounded weight of caregiving, and gender-based violence all shape how depression and anxiety manifest in women. Our clinicians understand this — not as a talking point, but as clinical training.

We don't separate mental health from substance use

The majority of women who arrive with a primary mental health diagnosis have a co-occurring substance use pattern. Treating one while ignoring the other is incomplete care by any clinical standard.

PHP-level intensity available outpatient

You don't have to be inpatient to access daily clinical care. Our PHP gives you 25–30 hours of clinical contact per week in a program that lets you go home at the end of the day.

Psychiatric evaluation built into the model

A full psychiatric evaluation and ongoing medication management are part of the program — not an extra appointment to arrange on your own.

The clinical relationship continues across levels

When you step down from PHP to IOP to outpatient, the same clinician team continues. No re-intake, no starting from scratch, no explaining your history again.

Your insurance is almost certainly usable

Mental health parity law requires commercial PPO plans to cover behavioral health at the same level as medical care. Our admissions team verifies your benefits within 24 hours at no cost.
