Women engaged in an intensive outpatient group therapy session
Anchored tides saved my life. I had been to an inpantient facility before and my sobriety wasn't lasting, until I found this place. I enjoyed the different groups and the staff and women are so welcoming. I felt so comfortable here, which I hadn't felt before. I now have the confidence to succeed in life. Very thankful for this place.

What an IOP day looks like

The phase where the work moves into real life.

IOP isn't a lighter version of treatment. It's the bridge between full-time care and the rest of your life — where structure, relationships, and confidence start to take shape again. Women return home each evening and walk back into clinical support the next day.

Who Women's IOP Is For

Women who need real clinical structure — but no longer require full-day care.

IOP is the phase where the work moves into real life, with clinical guidance still close by. Women who typically thrive in our IOP:

  • Completing PHP, residential, or detox elsewhere — continuing therapy with flexibility and consistent oversight.
  • Professionals, students, and mothers — morning and afternoon tracks keep treatment accessible without dismantling daily life.
  • Managing co-occurring conditions — substance use alongside anxiety, depression, trauma, or disordered eating.
  • Rebuilding after relapse or a stressful season — a steady, structured place to regain footing.
  • Seeking peer connection that brings belonging and accountability into recovery.

When IOP isn't the right fit

IOP isn't the right starting point for everyone.

  • Need full-day clinical structure? Most women begin at PHP and step down to IOP.
  • Detox needed first? We coordinate referrals to trusted medical detox partners, then welcome women into IOP once stable.

Our admissions team helps each woman find the right level of care — even if that level isn't with us.

Where IOP fits in the continuum of care

More flexible than PHP. More structured than outpatient.

IOP sits between full-day PHP and standard outpatient. Use this to see where it lands compared with the levels around it.

WHAT IOP COSTS

The Cost of Intensive Outpatient Care

The cost of intensive outpatient treatment depends on your insurance plan, how long you stay in the program, and the level of care your clinical team recommends. We verify your benefits before you commit to anything, so you know what your plan covers and what it doesn't before you make a decision. Our admissions team walks you through your coverage and your options in plain language.

What Determines Your Cost

  • Your level of care

PHP involves more clinical hours per week than IOP, and IOP involves more than outpatient, so the level your assessment points to is the largest single factor in cost.

  • Length of your program

Program length is set clinically based on your assessment and your progress rather than a fixed schedule.

  • Your insurance plan and network status

In-network plans and out-of-network plans are billed differently, and your specific plan's structure shapes what you're responsible for.

  • Where you are in your plan year

Whether you've met your deductible or out-of-pocket maximum changes what you pay, which is why two women with the same plan can have different costs.
