The owners, Amy and Becca, are professional, knowledgeable and dedicated to their clients. The structure they provide at ATR is remarkable and covers many disciplines which are integral in a high recovery success rate. Who We Are

We Are Anchored Tides

Anchored Tides Recovery is a women-only behavioral health treatment center in Huntington Beach, California, founded in 2016 by women who understood what recovery actually asks of a woman’s life.

We provide trauma-informed outpatient care through partial hospitalization, intensive outpatient, and outpatient programs — with specialty programming for women navigating co-occurring mental health, eating disorders, and trauma. When detoxification or sober-living housing is needed, we coordinate referrals with trusted partners. Our work is held to the clinical standards of Joint Commission accreditation, NAATP membership, and DHCS licensing (#300386AP).

Our Mission

Helping Women Find Recovery

Anchored Tides Recovery exists to provide comprehensive therapeutic and educational services to adult women recovering from drug and alcohol addiction, mental health challenges, and past trauma.

We help our clients build the health, stability, self-reliance, and emotional steadiness that long-term recovery requires — and we provide the kind of environment where women can sustain it, return to the people who love them, and contribute meaningfully to their communities.

In Their Own Words

The Women Who’ve Walked This Path

I was accepted into this program during the worst time of my life — and the women here met me in it. They went above and beyond to help me repair and regain the things addiction had taken, especially hope.

What Sets Us Apart

What Makes Anchored Tides Different

Anchored Tides Recovery was built around a specific belief: that women recover most fully in a space designed for them. We are a women-only program, female-founded and female-led, and gender-specific care is the entire architecture of how we work — not a marketing line layered over a standard rehab model.

A women-only environment.

Every aspect of treatment is designed for women — clinical programming, community, physical space. Not a separate track on a co-ed program.

Trauma-informed as core orientation.

Not a single therapy track, but the lens we apply across every level of care. EMDR-trained, with trauma-aware clinicians throughout.

Specialty programming.

Dedicated tracks for veterans and active-duty women, eating disorders, dual diagnosis, and a mental-health-only path.

Surf Therapy.

A Huntington Beach coastal modality unique to our program — recovery brought into the water, alongside the clinical work.

Female-founded, female-led.

Co-founders Becca Edge and Amy Dutton built the program in 2016, and our clinical leadership continues to carry that conviction.

Who We Serve

The Women We Walk With

We do not prescribe a one-size-fits-all approach. Each client is assessed individually so her treatment plan reflects her strengths, her goals, and the parts of her life that recovery has to fit back into — physical, mental, emotional, spiritual, academic, and vocational.

Our Approach

How We Treat

Our care is trauma-informed at the level of orientation, not as an add-on. We provide a full outpatient clinical continuum — partial hospitalization, intensive outpatient, outpatient, and continuing care — with specialty programming for women navigating dual diagnosis, eating disorders, and the unique recovery context of veterans and military families. When medical detox, residential care, or sober-living housing is needed, we coordinate trusted-partner referrals.

We also offer modalities women rarely encounter elsewhere, including our Surf Therapy program on the Huntington Beach coast.

Care here is meant to feel like recovery is something a woman can actually live inside of — not something she has to perform her way through.
