TREATMENT DESIGNED FOR WOMEN
DBT in Addiction Treatment
Dialectical Behavior Therapy (DBT) is a family of theories intended to address clinical problems of a mental health nature by examining the relationship between components such as thoughts, emotions, behaviors, and physiological reactions with an emphasis on how these interactions are organized as well as how they change over time. It is informed by psychoanalysis and behavioral psychology, and shares concepts and practices with mindfulness-based approaches and cognitive behavioral therapy. DBT was originally developed for treating borderline personality disorder (BPD), but it’s conceptually abstract, evidence-based paradigm has also been applied to treatment of other conditions like substance use disorders.
DBT WORKS ON IMPROVING
relationships skills, emotional regulation skills,
and mindfulness.
The program involves many of the people in the person’s life including friends, family, partner and therapist. Together, they will work to reduce problems associated with addiction and improve the person’s overall quality of life.
Through group and individual therapy, you’ll learn new ways of coping with daily stressors and long-standing issues such as depression, anxiety, or substance use. The women’s addiction program at Anchored Tides treats substance abuse as well as the underlying psychiatric conditions that cause it.

THE IMPORTANCE OF AWOMEN'S ONLY PROGRAM
Let Our Orange County Women's Rehab Help
When you select an addiction treatment facility, you should choose one where not only is the standard of care high and as personalized as possible, but you should also look for participants who are as similar to you as is possible. Studies have shown that treatment facilities where both men and women are mixed together aren’t nearly as effective as those that are gender-specific. Women obviously identify more closely with other women and their problems as well as their opportunities. Working along with other women, a woman has a better opportunity to experience the feeling of “I’ve been there and can relate” than she would if she was a member of a mixed group.
At Anchored Tides Recovery, seeing really is believing. We believe that once you see our facility and have the chance to see some of the success stories that we have helped bring to life, you will be a believer too. Why not come in today to see why Anchored Tides Recovery is unique and is a program truly made for women’s success in recovery from drugs & alcohol.
